Open Project- Progress 3

 


When working on this project, I decided to take a step away from my work in progress and see if I could come up with a stronger concept. I liked the way the window looked in my last edit, so I decided to play around with some new scans I took. I like the illusions of depth that the shutters create, and I think I will be using these to build off of.

  I follow a lot of accounts on Instagram that dive into analyzing iconic pop culture movements in the late 20th century and early 2000's. I decided to use these accounts as my inspiration when looking for my first picture to start with. I decided to go with this picture of Sharon Tate because she is someone idolized and remembered unfortunately for her terrible death, rather than the life she led. I am excited to play around with photoshop to see how it goes!

Cyclical Nature of Things- Progress 2

  During the past few weeks, I have been trying to make a routine of drawing when I am not in a good mood, which has been more common than not when dealing with moving and bad roommates. I decided to scan some of my drawings and blend them together and I think it is creating a pretty cool effect. I am thinking about incorporating this into my project, and placing the lava lamp in the room.
